Death Note
synopsis- this is a supernatural
sort of murder mystery anime. follows Kira who obtains the death note which a shinigami drops, you write a name of a person than that person dies. it revolves around Kira VS L who is a detective hired to capture him.
I absolute love this anime and the live action movies. One of the best I have seen. Its not really an action anime but it keeps you captivated with the atmosphere. But they sort of let it down towards the end of the series.
Characters: I am only going to do a few Kira,L, N and Mello, shinigamis (Ryuk and Rem)
Kira- He is the villain of the anime, hes character annoyed me egoistic and narcissistic but it suited the story and his goals. His character is portrayed very well, very brilliant voice acting (dubbed) portraying his emotions almost perfectly.
L: my favorite character, the mastermind detective who has never failed a job. He is the opposite of Kira not annoying. He provides the slight comedy to the series with his pervyness and sweet addiction. also voice acted brilliantly. No complains.
N and Mello- for me they let the anime down they N was just a younger copy of L and Mello was the deranged one who got ignored so get revenge. They just weren't good characters and annoyed me abit.
art- was brilliant it had this darkness to it which helped increase the atmosphere. It was brilliantly drawn, alot of detail. matched the story perfectly with its tones and affects.
music: was cheesy but overall fine, It didn't annoy me like other opening and closing themes and helped dramatize the struggle of Kira and L
So the only negatives was the introduction of N and Mello but despite them being annoying still didn't ruin the anime. I would definitely recommend this anime to everyone, especially if you just started watching anime.
music for today is- fight like a girl by Emilie Autumn as its a very powerful song with feminist themes.
have a good day any recommendations comment and I will get round to watching and review
good luck to all in exams
ET :D
